SurfingCygnus have been involved with surfing since the late 70's, thogh we are land locked in Northamptonshire many people surf in Devon, Conwall, Wales and the East Coast.For this reason we favour recommending longer boards.Usually 9'+.They are easier to surf when you don't get the time in the surf you would want. For the Girls Mini Mals are often easier to handle. If you have realy cracked surfing we would still recommend a Fish or slightly longer Short Board. Surfing lessons make the sport a lot easier to master.We have close ties with Errant Surf in Newquay and would recommend a lesson or two.
